Message from Mrs. CastilloThank you to all our parents, PTA, and especially the Ko family for the delicious staff luncheon to celebrate Lunar New Year on Friday! It was a very special treat. It was also really fun to see students and staff get into the "Matching Day" theme!
We are officially in the 3rd quarter of the 2024 - 2025 school year. Parents can log in and view Quarter 2 Progress Reports on SIS ParentVue beginning Tuesday. Remember to download the app to your phone if you haven't already - very accessible and user-friendly.
Thanks for all your support - looking forward to a great week!
Parent Reminders- Progress Reports will be available on ParentVue on February 4
- All visitors must bring and scan a government-issued photo ID each time they visit school. Arrive early to events to ensure time for parking and check in.
- Check out the breakfast and lunch menu.
- Have your child log into Clever from Lemon Road Student Links to access Lexia and ST Math from home to maintain academic progress.
We would like to thank the Ko Family for asking the PTA to partner with them and providing our stellar staff with an incredible Lunar New Year Lunch this Friday. It was incredibly generous and very much appreciated by all!
Seeing the staff’s reaction to the lunch reminded me just how much it means to our LRES team to hear from families about the positive impact their work has - so please join me in taking some time over the next few weeks to show our staff some love; whether with an email, a card, some caffeine or even just a big smile - let’s spread some love and positivity this February!
- Our planning committees for the Staff Basketball Game and Spring Fair are underway - we would love to add some new faces and ideas so email us at [email protected] if you are interested in helping!
- Join us (virtually) on Feb 12th to welcome back Mary Smith, local Parenting Coach, talking about how to help our children manage anxiety and build resilience. The meeting starts at 7pm and is open to all!
For girls in grades 3 - 6, Girls on the Run (GOTR) is coming back to Lemon Road! GOTR has fun, evidence-based programs that inspire girls in 3rd-8th grade to build their confidence, kindness, and decision-making skills. Dynamic lessons instill valuable life skills including the important connection between physical and emotional health. Starting the week of March 3rd, the team will meet every Tuesday and Thursday after school. The program culminates in a celebratory 5K at the end of the season! The standard program fee is $210 and includes lessons/practices, a t-shirt, GOTR giveaway, entry into the 5K, a 5K medal, and more. Financial assistance is available for anyone who needs it.
Registration for the Spring 2025 program is open February 3-23, and the season will run from the week of March 3 through May 19. For more information and to register please go to www.gotrnova.org.
